The people who assess your trees, and the credentials you can check.
Tree work is judgment as much as equipment. Whether a tree can be saved, whether a crane is warranted, whether a crack matters — those are calls made by a person, and it is reasonable to want to know who that person is and what qualifies them.
Rock Creek is staffed with ISA Certified Arborists and Maryland Licensed Tree Experts. Maryland requires a Licensed Tree Expert for commercial tree work over a certain size — ours is #1944, and any Maryland license can be checked by name at the Maryland DNR.
ISA Certified Arborist
John Miller is an ISA Certified Arborist and has worked trees across Montgomery County — Rockville, Bethesda, Olney, Silver Spring, Kensington and the surrounding areas — including crane removals, hazardous takedowns and storm response.
Every estimate on a removal, a risk assessment or a preservation job is made on site by a certified arborist, not over the phone and not from a photograph alone. Where we think a tree can be kept, we say so — reduction, cabling or targeted pruning instead of removal.
Individual jobs explained end to end — the constraint, the method and why it was chosen.
